About Us

Who We Are

Allen Avenue CRC in Muskegon, Michigan is a local congregation of the Christian Reformed Church of North America.

We call ourselves Christian because we are followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that he is the center of human history.

We are called Reformed because our church emerged from the Protestant Reformation in sixteenth-century Europe.

We are a Church because we believe God has called us together to be a people who belong to him and live for him.

There are nearly 1,000 other Christian Reformed congregations in the United States and Canada, all working together to make our world a better place to live through the power of Jesus Christ. To learn more about the Christian Reformed Church in North America visit www.crcna.org.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and it contains everything that people, in any age, need to know for their salvation.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent to redeem the world; we love and trust him as the one who saves us from sin and we embrace him as the Lord of our lives.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, revealing Christ and his redemption; the Bible is our final authority for what we believe and how we ought to live and is without error in all that it intends to teach.

We join with followers of Christ everywhere in confessing one God -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Our vision statement is: We live to BLESS.

Our mission statement is: B.L.E.S.S. and we are called by God to:

Support – Support Christian education with our gifts and prayers and by volunteering our time.

Serve - Serve our community and world by pursuing God’s justice and peace in all areas of life.
